Ariel Palitz has had a life long history in New York nightlife and the hospitality industry. She is uniquely qualified and positioned to guide any aspiring or existing operator to become successful and better neighbors within their community.
Born and raised in NYC, one of Ariel’s first jobs in nightlife was as a promoter at the club Mars. In 1996, she launched her own event planning company called Soulution Enterprises Inc. promoting weekly events at clubs by night while working at public relations companies, record labels by day.
In 2003, Ariel became an investor in her first club The Flat in the East Village, and in 2004 opened her own venue Sutra Lounge. Sutra was a two-level, DJ driven dance club open for an incredible 10 year run. Today, Sutra is still known worldwide as one of the last good old school New York venues.
While operating Sutra, Ariel was one of the original members of the New York Nightlife Association (NYNA) now known as the NY Hospitality Alliance. In 2009, she was also appointed by the Manhattan Borough President to the State Liquor Licensing Committee (SLA) of Community Board 3 (CB3) where she very active member and advocate for 7 years. In 2015, after selling Sutra and withdrawing from the community board, Ariel launched Venue Advisors, a full service hospitality consulting company with integrated licensed real estate services.
It is a genuine love of New York culture and hospitality that drives Ariel to elevate our industry and community. It is her unique experience that qualifies her to navigate aspiring and veteran entrepreneurs to skillfully achieve their New York dreams.
